Independent schools move toward traditional ‘international’ GCSEs (The Independent)
Figures from the Independent Schools Council (ISC) show that four out of five independent schools ditched GCSEs in at least one subject area in favour of the more traditional international version of the exam, according to an article in the Independent newspaper. The number of IGCSE candidates has now more than trebled in the past four years
Record numbers of mature students accepted into higher education (UCAS)
Recent statistics from UCAS show that more than 100,000 UK applicants aged 20 and over have now been accepted into universities and colleges this year. These 100,700 mature students represent an increase of 6% on last year and is the highest number ever recorded at one week after A level results day.

BP launches new global scheme (Recruitment Grapevine)

The 2015 Future Leaders Programme (FLP) aims to appoint 30 individuals for a bespoke global development programme, lasting for three years.
