Every secondary school and college student would be given face-to-face careers guidance by a trained adviser under a Labour government, reports the TES. Ed Miliband has announced that, should his party form the next government, every pupil from age 11 will be given structured careers guidance in a bid to offer students a “clearer pathway” to work, training or university.
Young professionals lack career prospect confidence (HR Magazine)
HR Magazine reports that 20% of UK 18 to 24-year-olds are not confident about their career prospects for 2015, according to a survey by recruitment agency Hays. The Hays report, which surveyed 1,000 people aged between 18 and 54, found 18 to 24-year-olds were less optimistic than other age groups.

The annual survey of over 14,700 students across 113 UK universities has placed the University of Bath in top spot for student satisfaction, having moved up from second place in 2014.
