These morning workshops (9.00am – 1.00pm including lunch) are geared towards careers professionals and school staff who really want to make the most of all the features of Morrisby Online. We cover areas such as session set-up and administration, but we also take an in depth look at interpreting aptitude and personality profiles, as well as understanding how best to use the management system. The sessions are ideal for those who are interested in understanding the theory behind the assessments, and how best to interpret and make the most of the results with their clients.
The conference is designed to provide you with the chance to engage with knowledgeable practitioners. Their insights will give you the tools you need to provide your students with professional and current advice about higher education.
You can select a personalised programme from the following breakout sessions:
Department speed networking with academic staff from each of our faculties; Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences
Alumni talks to hear from York graduates about their experiences of employment with a degree from a world-class university
‘All The Trimmings’ extracurricular fair to explore the vast range of opportunities our students engage with alongside their studies
Admissions workshop led by our Admissions team who will show you how we assess your students’ applications
Q&A to address your questions. The panel will include a selection of University of York staff and students.
The conference is free and lunch will be provided.
This annual free conference is for teachers, managers and advisers at schools and colleges, who have responsibility for supporting students applying to university.
Through keynote speakers, plenaries and workshops we explore current issues in admissions, recruitment and outreach. We also aim to equip delegates with updated practical information to take back to their workplace, for colleagues and learners. This includes information on entry requirements, graduate outcomes, student finance, subject range and choices and the impact of changes to framework in both sectors.
